Cuphead

Cuphead is a platformer action shooter game. It is a blast and I would recommend it to anyone who wants some challenge in their games.

You can dash, jump, and shoot, and basically everything is done with these options. You can also “parry” purple attacks which power you up more. This means that while avoiding all the attacks, certain attacks you want to get hit by, encouraging you to weave in and out.

This game is nearly all boss battles with the odd platforming section thrown in. Each boss is lovingly crafted with multiple phases and looks. The amount of care making each boss interesting to look at and fight is amazing.

The game is hard but fair. Part of the lovingly crafted animation is considerable windup and preparation to each attack. Everything is telegraphed so you never feel like the game is unfair. This makes the game very addictive despite the challenge.

The aesthetics are amazing. Seriously I love Cuphead. The soundtrack is great, this big band and ragtime jazz style. The animation is rubber hose in the best way. Every boss changes in some goofy creative way that is a joy to behold.

Cuphead is amazing and you should play it.
